I have survived strep throat many times without your precious medication. I try not to be to hypocritical about it so I only get things like vaccines when they are required, like to go to school.
Cos, you know, strep throat is a big killer.
Lucky we're not living with the bubonic plague though isn't it?
Or that smallpox has been completely eradicated?
Or that diabetics can live long happy lives?

strep throat can become scarlet fever...tell me thats not deadly....i dont think its lucky...i think its kind of whats needed...if i died oh well that would suck...im not that worried about dying
I was hoping you could explain the mechanism for bacteria confusion that you touched on earlier.
The job of bacteria is to decompose. Living things then need a defense against bacteria to maintain life. We have immunity systems. Plants have things like pine oil that protects the living plant against bacteria.
I use to have a limited garden space and I use to often try to put two plants in the space of only one plant. Some plants will kill off the competition at different stages. It is interesting which plant will dominate when they are given the same space to grow in.

Um, you're 15 years old. At that age no one is afraid of dying.

You did not answer his question, and ignored my previous post, for that matter.

Seems to me that the "job" of bacteria is to reproduce, as all lifeforms do, if it could be put that way. Do you think they are somehow aware that they have a purpose in causing the decomposition of biological tissue?

Hmm, you like inflicting unnecessary hardship on innocent plants? See, I can think like you too.
No, John, it's not. Bacteria utilise nutrient sources that they have adapted to utilise. For certain bacteria this includes decomposition. But, by definition, we aid with decomposition everytime we eat something too.
But only certain bacteria are involved with the classical decomposition of dead organic material. And that's not because it's their job, it's because it's a readily available source of nutrients and a niche into which they have evolved.
I don't mind people not knowing things, but I do mind when people pretend that they are authorative when in fact they have little knowledge of what they are talking about.
On a slightly different note, we're always being told by creationists that "there was no death before the fall". If this claim is to be consistently maintained, what, exactly, were the bacteria created to decompose in the first place? Without death there is no need for decomposition. So the whole thing has a shoddy basis even from a creationist point of view...

I did not think I would live as long as I did. If I had known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself so I could be reaping the benifits of that right now.

Yes, strep throat can become scarlet fever, in the same way that a splinter can become full blown septicaemia, which is also deadly.
You are not the first person to "survive" the trauma of a strep throat. If you had developed scarlet fever there are steps that medics would have taken.
