To be fair, I think he probably meant to quote the post below mine.

If that was good enough for George Washinton and Daniel Webster, it is most certainly good enough for me. And if you are silly enough to drag slavery into this issue, I'll have YOU remember that the Constitution needed an Amendment added. So perhaps the DIVIDED Supreme Court should have suggested that before they acted as vigilanties on an issue that had already been decided unanimously in 1897 by the Supreme Court. Show contempt! I'll show contempt for people who have the sick notion that law is all about politics and the latest fashion. Bring something back again and again until one gets the answer they want----that is contempt sir. If they wanted the BIBLE out of Public schools it should have been done legally with an amendment as with slavery and the woman's vote. I cannot tell you that you must believe as I believe, but you have no right to suggest that my beliefs cannot and should not be expressed in any institution of learning as long as there is freedom of speech, expression, and religion in the United States. Anthing less is tyranny in action.
But they DID; it was the FIRST Amendment.

The doctrine of Separation of Church and State, has been there from the very beginning!

Actually, this seems like a fallacious escalation of the issue. The judge wasn't restricting free speech, he was following the doctrine of Separation of Church and State by keeping the teaching of religion OUT of public schools. What students identify with had nothing to do with it. Sounds to me like he placed "freedom of thought", above the political agenda of those whom would wish to take it away.

This sounds a bit like, I don't know, miroevolution turning into macroevolution--you know the build up of small things into bigger and bigger things. You couldn't mean that, could you, LN?

Teddy,

You were not taught anything concerning the history of the non-acceptance of the FLOOD while in a public school. I attended college and I never heard any discourse from any science professor concerning the subject. So please, excuse me if I am rude to you when I say ------- put up or shut up.

Re-read what he said.

But evolutionists will NOW be the fist to say that evolution is not about becoming more complex. So I suppose now we have another contradiction regarding evolution. Theory, theory, theory-----that is all evolution is. Simpler organisms will not over time become any more complex.

What he said suggests that he attended a "christian" school and that he has a ax to grind. It does not suggest that any secular course has ever been given on the subject of why the FLOOD is presently ignored by secular institutions. In fact I find the what most secularists say concerning why this and why that are simply hunches that try to fill the void that public education has left unfilled........

Doctrine? Sounds rather religious don't you think? No one is talking of setting up a Bible school in public schools and placing the Pope in charge or a Baptist. The reality is that THOUGHT is being deprived to students merely because it emerges from a belief in GOD. This is unacceptable. RELIGION is an exclusive form of worship. Religion is not an understanding that there is or is not a GOD. Satan and the demons know the reality and that does not make them "religious." What makes a "reputable" scientist? One who is honest an thoughtful or one who agrees with you?
