Praying things improve.
The worst part of all this was I had a series of these injections scheduled back in the beginning of May and they were cancelled because my insurance company had me on the books as being deceased.
Yes, I said deceased.
I JUST got that straightened out 2 weeks ago.
Talk about a big headache and dozens of phonecalls.
Oh well. At least it's squared away now. |

My Mood | | Just an update too.
My injections that were schedule for tomorrow have been resheduled to Aug 2nd.
I am on my 4th day of feeling prety good and the Dr. felt that we could give this a try to see how long this lasts.
I am cautiously optimistic, But, Optimistic just the same. |

Thank goodness for that!

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time – to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth – that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:
Yes We Can. "

Yup, At least since March 15th.
That was the date they gave me on my recent departure from this world. Originally Posted by mhatten Thank goodness for that!

But it's still tolerable after I take another handful of ibuprofin and drink a bunch of beer. Should I finally admit that it's some sort of permanent damage and hit the doctor or wait for my body to heal itself?
I4H. I'm gald you're still around man.

Self medicating doesn't always work very well.
I'd hit the Dr. too.
Not meant physically..........
I'm still here and kicking.
Will be for a while I hope. |

Your OP really caught my attention as I've lived with chronic back pain for the last 6 years about. I am glad to hear there was some hope for you.
US, nsaids are not advisable over the long term for a variety of reasons. I'd see someone. (easy for me to say to some one else, eh?)
Personally, just to add my two cents, my back has not stopped hurting since it started really, but there are good days and bad. No one has been able to figure out why it hurts and there's lots of pain meds it doesn't respond to. Sometimes I really hate it, and most the time I try to grin and bear it. I am able to work despite it, so I consider myself thankful for that.
EDIT: My hopes and prayers are with each of you. Chronic pain has been the most challenging battle of my life, I believe.

Most of my problems came into being from the type of work I did.
Plus having broken my back 2 times 20 years ago.
It is hard to deal with somedays.
I have had close to 5 good days here and I am happy that things are going so well.
I to try to grit my teeth and bear thru it.
Even that gets hard to do.
I am finding a few things that are working for me and I am very pleased.
I may have a relapse next week and not be able to do anything for several days again.
But, I did have several good days in a row to be thankful for. |

It sounds like you're in a lot of pain a lot of the time! I just pray for the Lord to heal you and bring peace and rest to your life.
For several years my mom had some back issues, but it really peaked in the middle of this past school year. For two weeks she was incapable of moving without my dad's help. She was in constant pain and it was so hard to see her that way. Through the grace of God we found an orthopedic surgeon who gave us a couple options. We chose to try an injection in her lower back that might somehow help. My mom is walking easy today and I know that God is here with us.
Through the pain God be praised,
missionette
