" Michael said, looking at Legolas in the eye, His hands stopped drumming and his left hand reached slowly towards the sword's hilt. Never can trust anyone. His dad had taught him that.

((Okay, I'm gonna try and post a bit. If I miss something incredibly huge, let me know and I'll edit it in.))

Finally, after what seemed like ages, the meeting started. Lord Elrond stood and the room became very quiet.
"Strangers from distant lands, friends of old, you have been summoned here to answer the threat of mordor." he said, looking everyone in the eye.
Lili tried to remember who Mordor was...wasn't he the one who made the Ring? Somehow that didn't seem right. Lili shook her head and tried to listen as Elrond continued. He turned to a small boy-looking person and said, "Bring forth the Ring, Frodo."
So that's who this Mr. Frodo is! Lili thought as the halfling brought the ring forward and laid it on a stone table. Murmurs began to circirlate around the room. Lili had to stiffle a laugh; it seemed so odd that everyone was freaking out over a ring! Besides, if it so powerful that it's a threat, why not use it's power for good? she thought.
"It's the doom of man!" one person exclaimed ina whisper.
Boromir shook his head and stood to his feet.
"No, it is a gift; a gift to the foes of Mordo! Why not use this ring? Long has my father, the Steward of Gondor kept the forces of Morod at bay. By the blood of our people are your lands kept safe! Give Gondor the weapon of the enemy, let us use it against him!"
Lili felt like cheering. Finally, someone's starting to make a little sense!

"Ah, the meeting is starting. " Legolas said to Visorin, and nodded. He took a seat across the room, next to ((I tihnk.. )) Aarogorn. Legolas leaned back in his chair, looking at the One Ring.
Visorin also looked at the ring, then Legolas and Visorin both looked at Boromir. Visorin decided that he should just watch. Besides, if he did something that wasn't along the lines of LotR, something else might happen, and maybe Sauron will win.
Legolas looked at Borimor, then the ring, then at Borimor again.

((Ok, this might sound dum or something, but could one of the LotR fanatics please suplly me with some quotes that Legolas said? I have this feeling that either Aarogorn or Legolas would have said something about the Ring after Boromir.))

Dune rolled his eyes. "So saith Boromir, the dunce of Middle Earth." He murmured, loud enough for a few around him to hear.

Thor was seated next to Dune, but he was so lost in his own thoughts that he didn't hear the hobbit's remark. He hated the way everything was happening, so fast he could hardly keep up. Only twenty-four hours earlier he had been on his way to the airport in Chicago, now he was witnessing a council with elves, in fact, looking like one himself. Licking his lips nervously, he eyed the man who was seated a couple of seats to his left. There was something in the way he carried himself that tickled the back of Thor's mind. That has to be Aragorn, he thought. The lost king of Gondor. The feeling of awe was supressed with surprise. I actually remembered that. Wow, I must have payed some attention while watching that movie after all.

Maddie looked up at Dune when he spoke. "Why?" she asked quietly, not quite understanding. "That's Mr. Fododo?" she asked quietly.

"Why what?" Dune asked. He had forgotten Maddie was there. "And yes, that's Mr. Frodo."

Martini peeked out of the opening to see what was going on. She and the little people had already introduced themselves. Their names were Merry and Pippin, and they were one of those Hobbit people, like that smart-alecky Dune. Only these two seemed much nicer and much more relaxed. They hadn't been able to talk much before the meeting started, but it seemed that they were friends of that Frodo person and that this meeting was about the Ring everyone was so hyped up about. Actually, once the Hobbits had realized she wasn't some snotty Elf about to bust them for eavesdropping and Martini realized they both had the same goal- not to be left behind- they got along rather well.
