Sad covering up my face

is it okay to cover up open cuts and scrapes with makeup? I had an accident today and i really don't know how else to cover up the scrapes than with heavy makeup. It's either that or shocking ppl with the gruesome condition of my face. Will makeup just irritate the scrapes and hinder the healing process? plz reply as soon as possible..i would greatly appreciate it. thank u everyone

i don't think it will irritate the, just cover it up with a light foundation. i do the same if it's cuts or pimples.

Lets just hope the scratch isn't deep. The foundation may get stuck inside of the wound.

Use Aloe Vera cream to heal the wound and prevent it from leaving a scar.

^the foundation will only get stuck in the wounds if the cut is still open, so when you take your makeup off with makeup remover wash your face with soap to really get all the makeup off.

GodsGirl76 is on a distinguished road
If it's deep cuts, I wouldn't use makeup. I would let my face heal first. You want to keep the wounds as clean as possible. Use some Neosporin (sp?) as an antibiotic and to make sure you protect yourself from getting scars

If the cut is deep then don't apply makeup or you will risk infection. If it is not deep go ahead and put some makeup on. It will make you feel better as you go about your day. Make sure that you wash your makeup off really good at night before bed.

I didn't know you can use neosporin on your face? But hey, if it's working, i'm happy for you.
