Please pray for my ex that he'll come back to Christ

Everyone, please please please pray for my ex. The happiest I ever knew him to be was when he felt right with God, but since that wonderful time he has fallen off the tracks and decided that he is an atheist. He is no longer the wonderful caring person he used to be and uses foul language when he gets angry and frustrated. It's like even less kind and self-less than he was even before he was a Christian. That worries me.

He and I are not really good friends any more, nor in any position to re-kindle a close friendship since he is so uncomfortable with the idea and I still have issues I'd have to deal with before that could be possible. He doesn't have any close christian friends to witness to him. I'm trying to do the best I can by being as Christlike as possible when around him (which isn't very often anyway), but I have to admit I screw up when I become impatient with his new behaviour.

Sometimes I have complete faith that God will get him back one day, but sometimes I doubt that it will happen. But of course God can do it, he can do anything. Right? Will he get him back? Is my prayer helping at all?

This should probably be in another forum since it's a bit more than just a prayer request, but please, he needs prayer from more than just me.

Lord, please draw this man back by the power of your Love!

Simpletrust, you keep hanging on to that "complete faith that God will get him back" and when doubt tries to worm its way in, you just stop it. Say NO! and go back to declaring faith words over him (like the scripture about the prodigal son). Don't pay any attention to the circumstances. God's Word trumps any circumstances the devil can bring into play.

Your prayers are helping, absolutely. That's what we're supposed to do, and God is faithful. Especially when it comes to matters of salvation. There is nothing impossible for God. Keep that in your heart and continue to lift him up in prayer. Be patient, God has His own timing. It may not happen when you want, but He's always on time! God bless you, sister.
