What is your technique to get people to attend meetings? Do you have any advertising schemes that have worked really well? How do you get people to start coming to Cru events (not just the weekly meeting)? etc... |

We also have Evangelism teams that meet at the student union... I found the organization through a day where all the clubs set up stands in the student union and we can talk to members of it. I filled out a questionnaire and some guys came to my door and asked me to come with them... we also have Bible studies in every dorm that makes it seen that we are on campus as well.

The way we get the skateboarders, bikers and rollerbladers to come is to set up things that they can enjoy doing while we hang out before a service or bible study. Food is always a way to bring in people our age. Give them botha try and see what happens. |

(i have had some bad experiences with Campus Crucade for Christ..)

This may come across very poorly, however I was with cru for a while.
God has given all of us special gifts. Some of music, some of athletics, some of beauty, some of intelligence etc.
Get together the most friendly, best looking girl and guys to ask around campus and tell people to come hangout. I know this sounds horrible, but it works. God gives everyone gifts, and some may say this is a horrible thing, however if a gift is ultimately used to better the kingdom of God, then I think thats a huge purpose for it if not entirely!

They've went roller skating, went to fun zones, had photo scavenger hunts...they do a lot of creative and fun things that have really drawn in people. They also post flyers for upcoming events all over school |

I understand wanting to be cute with the alliteration and all, but that's really a terrible thing to promote for anyone who knows a thing about history. The crusades were arguably the darkest point in church history. |

I think that where there were THE Crusades in the past, that doesn't mean that the word "crusade" just automatically has to point to that. Really the organization is exactly what the name says.

They also do Bible studies at different dorms or apartments in addition to the big meetings each week, to fit around everyone's schedules.
