DALLAS -- A misprinted $20 bill could fetch 1,000 times its face value at an auction Friday in Dallas.
The bill has a red, green and yellow Del Monte fruit sticker next to Andrew Jackson's portrait. The seal and serial number are both printed on top of the sticker, meaning the fruit tag must have found its way onto the bill midway through the printing process.
A California company said it's no fake.
The bill's owner, Daniel Wishnatsky, paid $10,000 for it on an e-Bay auction site in 2003. There's already an online bid of $14,000.

Truth be told....I would pay not one cent for it. Then I don't collect money. Even if I did I don't think I could justify spending $14,000 on it.

I saw this on the news, and they said the bill is genuine, and worth what it's printed on it. I'd buy it for $20! Then sell it on eBay for $14,000....

cuz then you can go up to strangers and be like "hey guess what. I have a del monte $20 that's worth $14,000 and you dont. Sucker !"
and they can be like "awww I wish I was as cool as you"
and you can then be like "yeah, but youre not. too bad eh ?"
and they'll be like "yeah...darn"
and you can be like all happy after that that you have the only del monte $20 on the block, and grin at your neighbours.

Hey, you just may be on to something here!
That's a better idea than the one I had. I was going to buy a lot of bananas and get a few $20.00's from my wallet and stick the stickers from the bananas on the twenties and sell them on ebay!
