Dune nodded but then glanced down at her, frowning. "Maddie, why are you on the floor?" He scooted his chair back slightly- a difficult taks when your feet barely touch the floor. "Would you like to sit up here?"
"No, my tummy hurts." she whined slightly looking up at him. "I think I ate to much." she pointed her little tummy with her finger. "Can you see the king?"She asked her brow crumpled.
"Thank you." Martini murmured, just as her plate was set in front of her. Oh that looked good.
Dune's brow wrinkled with concern. "Oh really?" He searched his pockets for an antacid, but then stopped as he realized how stupid that would be. "No, I can't see him. He's probably still with Frodo."

"He is sick?" Maddie stood up digging in her little purse under Aidan's cloak. "I have a bandaid." she dug in the purse then looked at her finger where the bandaid was present. "He can have mine." she held up her finger wrapped in the bandaid.
Dune chuckled. "Thanks, Maddie, but he needs something a little bigger than a bandaid. A bad guy hurt him pretty good. but don't worry, he'll get better."
"Twenty-three." Martini chewed on a piece of meat and swallowed before correcting herself. "Well, twenty-two, but I'll be twenty-three in a few weeks."

"Then you have to kiss him!" Maddie smiled, nodding. "That always makes everything all better." she closed her eyes and folded her hands under the cloak, starting to silently pray.

She was actually kind of shocked that Martini was almost twenty-three.
