Pushing a branch away, Visorin walked South. He fished around in his backpack for his compass. "Ya' know how to use a compass? " Visorin asked Scott, trying to make a conversation. Might as well make the best of things. He felt around his pocket, and then he took out the compass.
"Hey- " visorin said, stopping in mid-sentence. "This isn't pointing North! " His eyes furrowed. He moved the compass around frequently, trying to move the little pointer so it will point North.

Scott took the compass and looked at it, puzzled. "You sure it's not broken?"
