Has anyone heard of a Biblical translation called the "Recovery Version"?

Earlier today, some people from a group called "Bibles for America" (http://www.biblesforamerica.org) gave me a Bible of a recently-released "Recovery Version". I was just curious about if anyone here has ever used the "Recovery Version". In a way, this version resembles somewhat like a blown-up Amplified Version, where translators have supposedly created a brand new translation directly from the Greek text and attempted to include every detail about background, language, etc. through several thousands of footnotes and cross-references.

Can anyone here explain to me whether or not this version is a good and legitimate version to use? Given the amount of details included in this version after a quick glance, if this Bible is indeed accurate, this can prove to be an excellent source for Bible studies and research, especially for those who do not know the Ancient Greek language.

I know this is a very... old... post. However, I use this Bible. It is a good study source and filled with insight. PM me if you have questions, I'm interested in your perspective.

I'm interested in how you arrived to this conclusion. May I ask?
