Sad Third Time

I just got broken into an hour ago for the third time--and this time it is early Christmas morning. To any readers make sure your house/apartment is secure. The first 2 times in different homes a thief got in through insecure sliding windows with flimsy latches--first time while we were home, they got nothing, second time while we were away-- jewellery/electronics.The windows were replaced with security windows. This time while we were still here asleep they smashed a window in a basement door, reached around to undo a lock and got into our basement. They got nothing. The door has been shown to be insecure and will have to be replaced. Also the outside security light had been turned off and had not been turned on again--forgot--groan.In all three cases no one was caught.

As a Christian I know I am not to be attached to things but there is still the sense of violation when you go through a robbery/burglary.I am thankful that in all three cases we had no direct encounter with the thieves and so no one was hurt.Things can be replaced--lives can not.We are therefore thankful on this Christmas morning.--in Christ--Terry

that's weird. I think you're being targeted maybe. Said a prayer for your home.
My buddy just had his car stolen so I feel for you here tonight.

I firmly believe in security... While yes we are not to be attatched to material things, we are also not to leave a temptation for someone else.

I have been briken into...I was away...also money srolen from me by a relative.. they all hurt... you feel invades not safe...Pray for God's peace and security

I feel for you believe me! I have been broken into and you feel awful. I hope you find peace soon though. Take gentle care of yourself.

Just read this, I am so sorry. That is so frightening. I wonder if it is a neighbor or friend of a friend as it is three times.

I read this thing one time where this person had a criminal after them. They received word the criminal got out (or something like that) anyway, they prayed for God to protect them and to have angels guard them etc.

A while later they picked up the criminal and he said he had gone BACK to those people's house but the had these huge guys with guns strapped to their shoulders guarding their house.

Well, they did not have anyone... Earthly anyway.

God had two huge frightening looking angels, or visions or something visable to the criminal.

I would suggest to pray on each door knob, on each window and claim it to be a fortress for the Lord. Claim that God will sent angels visable to anyone planning evil, or that he merely make your house invisable -- to anyone planning harm.

They get near your street and cannot find the house.

Spirtually clean your home with a prayer claiming that all darkness the criminal brought with him LEAVE in the name of Jesus Christ, and get a security system.
That way you have 5 sense knowledge security and a hege of protection from God.

I am sorry that happened to you, it is so awful to think of that...

Hugs

A security consultant's advice

[F] During the holiday season home burglaries tend to be more common.

Make sure all doors, and windows are properly locked.
Most break-ins are due to unlock doors, and windows.

Motion sensor lighting should be installed, not just in the front and back of the house but also the sides.
Check for the proper function of existing sensor lights.

Proper deadbolts should be installed.
Even if you live in a good niegborhood, thieves target these homes during Christmas.
Existing deadbolts should be checked for proper function.
This can be done with the door open, throw the bolt with your key, and then try pushing in the bolt with your finger, the bolt should stay in place (hence deadbolt), if it pushes back in, the bolt needs to be repaired.

Secure all ladders, and gardening tools.

When away, install timers for the interior lights, have a friend pick up mail, and stop news paper delivery.

If you do get burglarized, please leave the house, and wait for the police to show before going back in.

God Bless
