Pollen grains found on the Cloth of Oviedo by Dr. Max Frei in 1973 and 1978 and studied also by Monsignor Giulio Ricci match pollen grains found on the Shroud of Turin.
Max Frei is the character who pronounced the bogus Hilter diaries as genuine and has no credibility.
In one place the site says the clothes are believed to have touched the same face and in another it says that it is a fact that both clothes touched the same face. These observations lead me to question the credibility of the site.
Here is a sceptical site on the shroud with more details.
BTW there is no evidence of the spices that were part of Jewish burial practice and specifically mentioned in the Bible anywhere on the shroud.
The shroud has no provonance prior to 1355 when it conveniently turned up in time to go in church that needed relics to attract worshipers and during a time when fake relics where appearing all over the world. The alleged blood has not been conclusivily identified and the pollen evidence is highly suspect. The fibers were cleaned prior to C14 analysis. The different labs used different protocols and still their dates agree and even 60% of this alleged biofilm would not cause the fibers to date at just the right time to show the shroud is a fake.
Which of those researchers claimed to have proven that the shroud has the blood of Christ on it?
You people are not putting any effort into this at all. There was one report that all the scientiests agreed on that were on the Shroud of Turin Research Project. There is no controvery with that report. Then there are individual members of the Shroud of Turin Research Project that filed their own report and that is where the controversy is. For example, the guy who filed the report that said he found pollen from Isreal on the Shroud, that was highly controversal. But there is no controversy surrounding the overall findings of the group as a whole. You can not attack all 20 of them as a group, without attacking science itself.
We have had discussions on the shroud tell there was nothing left to discuss, because there has been a limited amount of research on the shroud, so there is a limited amount of information available on it.
But science seems to be suggesting its a fake. Only that one website is suggesting otherwise, and I was a bit surprised when it didnt list the whole story (compared to the added info at the skeptic site, which listed that testing shows that its probably paint but could be blood, the shroud site says that it is blood and AB blood at that.)
Shroud of Turin Research Project (STURP) - a group of some 30 scientists from various disciplines got permission to go to Turin and do more tests. Unfortunately, almost all of these were religious believers, most of them were Roman Catholics; in fact, the leaders of the group served on the Executive Council for the Holy Shroud Guild. So having this group investigate the Shroud was a little bit like, let's say, having the Flat Earth Society investigate the curvature of the Earth.
Another web page with some sceptical discussion of the shroud and the Ovedio cloth is here
Of course STURP was critical of McCrone and tried to convince him to change his mind.
So you have an opinion of 19 to 1. Is that your approach to science in general, disregard 19 scientiest and listen to just the one? Esp. one who was controversal?
Science can not say one way or the other if it is real or fake. The issue here is if the shroud was made with blood or paint.
Nonsense. Unless Jesus bled paint (one of those lesser-known miracles), then science can close the case on this one pretty quickly.

To them, you're just a freak, like me! They need you right now, but when they don't, they'll cast you out, like a leper! You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other.
See, I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve.

So what do think the ratio of scientists who support evolution to those who deny it is? 19 to 1? 50 to 1? Hmm.
