| If I only had a brain According to science, the brain is where we store our memory. Thus if the brain shuts down, then we no longer have any memory. According to christians, we will continue to have memory even if the brain were to be dead. They believe that the spirit or soul can live on, even if the body were to perish. Thus they believe that somehow the spirit or soul is able to retain that memory.
I think both sides of the issue can agree on one thing. The brain is our link with this world. If oxygen is cut off from the brain and the brain cells "die" or do not function anymore, then we do seem to lose our ability to be able to communicate with this world. |
