God wrote the Bible.
The Bible says:
[bible]Ezekiel 13:20[/bible]
Therefore pillows are immoral, and you're going to end up in Hell if you use one. |

Reps: 673 (power: 0) | | Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.
See, this is why I never read the Bible. Seriously, sounds like the guy was on acid when he wrote that. |

Reps: 3,233 (power: 14) | | | This is an issue that I have been struggling with for a very long time. Growing up as a teenager, I had problems keeping my use of pillows secret. For the longest time, I thought my mom would catch me using pillows. The idea terrified me. When I walked around in school, I always felt like someone would be watching me, identifying me as a pillow user. That prospect wasn't as nearly frightening as what would happen if I was outed to the whole school as a pillow user.
I thought my life was over when my brother walked in on me sleeping on a pillow!
Even worse was when I became a Christian a few years ago was the search for a church that would be accepting of pillow users. I was lucky to find one, and ever since then I have been laying my head in comfort each night.

You should read the rest of Ezekiel. It's hilarious.

Pillows were used in divination sometimes by priests. Two pieces of rectangular cloth were sitched together on three sides and the resulting pouch was filled with soft filler leaves or grass. Then they would place something inside it that gave off a heavy scent, or halucinogenic plant material. The scent would effect the person while they slept and influence thier dreams and this was taken as being able to see the future.
People still make these pillows to combat bad dreams, insomnia, sleep apnea and paralysis. Though without the halucinogenic additives, its considered bad karma to use that kind of thing |
