I would advise each and every person who is questioning whether they've gone too far to first ask themselves...
"Is this sin too big for the blood of Christ to cover?"
then read James 2:10-11... what do you think now?
If the same God who said "do not commit adultery" also said "do not murder," then doesn't the same God who forgives adultery (1 Cor 6:9-11) also forgive murder and anything else you can think of?
Why be so concerned about which one of your sins can be forgiven and not about going out and telling those who don't know that their's can?

But, even with that, it doesn't mean that the blood of Jesus is not powerful enough to cover it or that God's grace is not powerful enough to forgive it... What it means is that our sovereign God made a sovereign choice and we have to live with that.
Other than that, if you confess your sins, God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Hallelujah!!!!
I love you and God bless.

MellyMell, Im glad you brought this verse up...Could you please help me with this or anyone else. What does it mean blasphemizing against the Holy Spirit is unpardonable. Is that becuz the Holy Spirit dwells in us to when you blasphemy him who do to your body, God and all the Universe? Im kind of confused.
God bless

Reps: 14 (power: 0) | | Sure... Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is basically ascribing the work of the Holy Spirit to something/someone else. It's taking God's due praise and glory away.
As for why it's unpardonable, people can try to answer that with their opinions and stuff, but I don't like giving my opinion as though it were a fact. The Bible doesn't clearly tell why it's unpardonable, it just says that it is.
Now, it's my opinion that it's unpardonable because the Holy Spirit is the One who actually PERFORMS the wonderful works of the Godhead. God says it, the Lord Jesus empowers it, and the Holy Spirit does it. So, when we balspheme the Holy Spirit, it's like slapping God in the face and saying that our own idea or opinion is more important than His power. It's like we think more highly of our opinion than of the work of the Lord.
Hope that helps.
I love you and God bless.

If one denounces God's Word and Christ's sacrafice, this leads me to believe that they were never truly saved by God.

Couch your concept of inspiration and revelation in these terms, and you will see how it cuts down into the warp and woof of modern thinking. He is not silent. That is the reason we know. It is because He has spoken. What has He told us? Has He told us only about other things? No, He has told us truth about Himself -- and because He has told us truth about Himself -- that He is the infinite-personal, triune God -- we have the answer to existence.
