Did you get what I was saying about Songs of Solomon and the fasting bit there, I believe it is the first difference you and I have had!
I agree with you there, I just believe that masterbation is a sin. Its a sin I believe because your lusting over another woman most of the time.
Songs of Solomon is all about love I do understand that.

Look to the Lord and his strength, seek his face always.
I did find a verse about committing a sin unto your own body, and it talks about sin in (menatlly) and outside the body (flesh) you want that one, it may be as close as I can get right now.
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
As far as the laws of leviticus goes, that is the old covenant and law of moses stuff, we were freed from that by the sacrifice of the lamb and the new covenant was made. The bible even says it was impossible to kee all that law. Everything in my world goes thru a filtering process that starts with Love thy nieghbor as thyself and love the Lord your God with all your heart. I still stumble and fall plenty and am stretching and growing daily, God's grace is sufficient. Becoming Christ like, and I know you already know this, is the focus and then we will know in our spirit wether what we are doing is right. At this moment right now I really don't think God is all that worried about that kind of stuff, I believe God has called us to be the city on a hill and we must become.
Actually there is a verse out there about masturbation.
I will have to track it down.
Nope. The one you are thinking about refers to coitus interuptus and the sin was not fullfilling marital vows.

the ironic thing is that this:
is the unsubstantiated opinion of author and has no biblical support that I'm aware of.
Well it is what my religion teacher and my Priest said. And I think the Priest is somehow representing the Bible isn't he? They both can make mistakes I guess...
Anyway that wasn't just/only my opinion.

Now Adam and Eve, like I said earlier, did not know sin. They knew that God gave them this gift of sex, but they did it only for the reason God commanded. They did not do it for any personal satisfaction, or pleasure.
Now we come to the fall. Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and fell from there state of grace they had and also lost there complete existance with God. Their disobedience not only brought death, but it also brought sin. Not only the act of sin, but the thought and knowledge of it. One of the sins brought on th man was lust. So after the fall, man still had sex for the purpose God blessed us with, but also for reasons of lust. They used it for personal satisfaction. This, like I said before, was not the reason for sex.
It is a sin to enjoy sex ???
So what I'm trying to say is, when you use contraceptives (and for the sake of arguement let's say your married) you are not only taking away God's will and decision on who should have children and who should not, but you are also going against His reason for giving us sex in the first place. And you are making a personal passion, and self gratifying act, which is a form of idolatry*,instead of the blessed act God gave us.
What about people who shouldnt have any more children for medical or financal reasons ? How is it moral to bring 12 children into a family that could only support 2 ? Futhermore if you abstain from sex in marraige is it not a true and holy marriage ?
So either its holy to try to have children when you clearly know you wife will most likely die (there are medical conditions such as this) and when you clearly know you can't support such a marriage, or its holy to abstain from sex in marrage, or its holy to devoice and find a partner capable of reproduction. No offense, but none of those options sounds right.
So if you die, you die. You then will be with your heavenly father.
Um...ouch ! Why would a loving heavenly father expect women to try and have children knowing they will die quite painfully in childbirth.
It is clear that sex before getting married is a sin. Sex is a kind of gift or prize that is meant for those who found their other half and are married.
But where are the direct quotes that say it ???
"For this purpose a man shall leave his father and mother in order to be joined UNTO HIS WIFE, and the to become one flesh."
hmm, missed that one. Where does it say that in the bible ?
"Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and the sexually immoral" (Hebrews 13:4, NIV).
"Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4, KJV).
Okay adultery is having sex with someone other than your spouse when married and none of the 'sexually immoral' laws mention anything about sex before marriage. Whoremonger's, there is quite a bit of difference between whores and girlfriends ! Maybe from this quote you could assume random pickups are bad too, but theres quite a bit of difference between being in a relationship and having sex, and just having sex with a stranger. Also back in those days you didn't date for years before marriage, you had a courting period and wammo marriage; people just didn't live long enough. Today getting married at 30+ is reasonable normal. Back then by 30 your really starting to get on in the years.
