Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | Christian without creationism Proof that you don't need to be a creationist to be a Christian (at least in Canada): http://www.canada.com/edmonton/edmon...-09C0B2C09883} Lamoureux went back to school to earn a PhD in theology. He also studied science with the somewhat immodest belief he could debunk evolution.
Instead, the overwhelming "and staggering" scientific evidence chipped away at his conservative religious beliefs to the point where he became convinced Charles Darwin and his theories were irrefutable. |

Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | You can't be a Christian if you aren't a creationist, however, you can still be a Christian if you don't believe in young earth creationism specifically. |

Reps: 25 (power: 0) | | | Chrisitans who believe in a creation are not necessarially creationists. Since the term "creationist" as in "evolutionist or creationist" refers specifically to those who believe in special creation. Some people prefer a broader application of the term "creationist." But then in loses most of its meaning for this forum, since then one can be both a creationist and a evolutionist at the same time.

That's true. You can be a Christian and still be wrong about some things.

Of course, I didn't say anything contrary. |

There are a number of people on this board who are "evolutionists" and consider themselves creationists - but do considerthemselves christians. It strikes me as ironic that several of the creationists here will respond to each others posts with things like "your brother in Christ", but they don't extent that greeting to non-creationist christians (or even non YEC's in some cases).

Reps: 20 (power: 0) | | | The term "theistic evolutionist" tends to apply well to those Souljah was referring to.
