It's time for this generation to wake up and to make itself known.
It is time to put the childish things aside.
It is time to pick up the Word of God, the Word of Truth, and walk in the Fruit of Love.
It is time to live as God has called us to be who we individually are in this Army.
The march is called for. Assemble in your church, assemble in your school, assemble with your friends, groups, and outings. It is time to take back what the enemy has stolen and has been frighteningly been waiting to see for the past generation.
The Final War has begun.

The line is in the sand. Which side will you walk to and shout for? The End of the Ages is near. The Trumpet sounds. The call is given. A shout ... a shout is finally raised...
this is not a joke. Get in the battle! Get in the War! God has called you. You read this. Go find out your orders. It is time... it is time. |

On a somewhat related topic, I was watching VH1 this morning and they actually reported that the Christian music industry has improved something like 24% in recent months, while the "regular" aka secular music industry has dropped. They said the Sept 11 attacks led to this phenomenon, as well as "cross-over" popular music groups like POD.
Whatever the reason, I am glad to hear it and I like how some Christian groups are played on mainstream radio. For example, you know that song "Hanging On A Moment" by Lifehouse? I liked that song plenty as a love song or whatever, THEN I found out that it is written by the lead singer, a devout Christian who writes lyrics that are a dialogue between him and God. WOW!
God is definitely reaching out to our children. I don't know how kids these days could make it without him.

The last thing Bush said was "follow the Lord".

P.O.D. is cool, but they too I have to pick bones with. In an interview with Shoutweb, lead singer Sonny said that the guys like to listen to Marilyn Manson and Slayer and "the dark stuff." Also they brandish their tattoos without any thought to what scripture has said against them.

speaking of marilyn manson and the like - i'm in the process of expunging those types from my cd collection. a blinder version of myself allowed them in there when i had my back turned. |

I honestly believe that the title of "spiritual" being limiting is only because the media pidgeonholes groups like this and either don't give them the same kinda support as the "non-spiritual" bands or always qualify them (as in here is the latest from crossover Christian artist Amy Grant). Also, if a kid finds out Lifehouse is considered "spiritual", he might get turned off from the onset.
These groups toe such a thin line. They could safely follow the road of pure Christian bands but choose not to.
And I don't like POD either. My personal choice is that their message is kinda jumbled. Plus, I think it's to loud. )
