Reps: 1,439 (power: 24) | | I can't believe that in the year 2002 we still have atheists that would deny the existence of supernaturally malevolent evil.
Touche.
And yes, I do.

Dr. Margaret Singer, clinical psychologist emeritus at Berkeley, with research partner Dr. Janja Lalich, collected case histories from 70 clients seeking treatment for problems that began during meditation practice. Their research presents several examples of these symptoms and notes that prior to meditating, none of the patients had individual or family histories of mental disorders. . ."
Doesn't this sound like the profile of the Biblical demoniacs?

Sounds like a certain man of Gadarene. . .

No, it sounds like these people have mental health problems.

Most mental illness has some precdent. Demonic posession, meanwhile, is most often sudden.

I suspect that being under the influence of fairies, having one's house infested by poltergeists, and the horrors of vampiric hypnosis are similarily sudden. In fact, I would say that they're exactly the same in that these "phenomena" cannot be falsified. This is why science does not accept supernatural explanations. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
