I was diagnosed in 1994 w/ endo. The doctors and specialist all say we will never conceive naturually. However I personally will never give up as long as I have KING JESUS!!! God can do all things! If it is in His perfect will we will have children. If it is not I know it is because He has another greater purpose.
I did not always feel this way however and wondered how other Christian women were dealing w/ this issue.
I just wanted to share a couple of stories with you for encouragement; not to give you false hope, but to encourage you to keep looking to the Lord and keep your hope alive in HIM:
A good freind of mine had endo pretty bad, couldn't conceive. Went on a missions trip to Mexico with some of her students, met up with a husband and wife couple hosting them who she has known pretty well for a few years. They asked her if her and her husband were going to have kids; she started crying and said that they don't think they can. The man asked if he and his wife could pray for her, they feel that that is a ministry of theirs, praying for couples having trouble conceiving or told that they couldn't; she said yes; a year later she was pregnant, had 2 kids.
Another friend struggled for YEARS; went through several infertility treatments; IV didn't take, miscarriage, etc. (so sad!!! :-( )
But then they gave up and decided to adopt a child from Russia. Within 6 months of having their new little daughter, she found herself pregnant; and they have just recently given birth to another (3 kids total, 1 adopted, 2 biological). Isnt' that amazing???
Yet ANOTHER friend couldn't seem to conceive, tried everything, they couldn't adopt because her husband had spent time in prison a long time ago, very greived. She gave up. A long time after she gave it over, stopped considering it (I guess you don't ever stop hoping!); out of the blue, she's pregnant, after YEARS of not believing it possible, gave birth, went on to have another a few years later (with no problem conceiving).
I am not trying to simplify or downplay the fact that this is a very difficult and greivous thing to struggle with; my point is, that the Bible is true, God is in control, He knows just who He wants to create, and when.
Keep hoping and praying!!!
May He Bless You with Little Ones!
Amen.
