Mind controool.... let's experiment to see if there is such a thing.
Yup, mind control does exist! err I think this experiment backfired on me. mmmm double-double....
Actually mind control has been around for a very long time, at least the subliminal kind that makes you think things. The USSR reference is quite true and in fact often pictures and cartoons were used to get the message across. The US has even had some interesting black-ops type programs that have dealt with mind control and no doubt many still peruse the power of the mind in unexpected ways. Even Hollywood jumped on the idea many years ago with the movie FireFox where the pilot controlled the jet with his mind.
Yeppers! How often a day for how long in a year does someone need to listen to something before they are brainwashed? I wonder if there are any stats on it?
You know those commercials that are on all the time about the symptoms of this or that disorder or disease? I started noticing after a couple of years that I began to exhibit some of those symptoms and I could be just as happy as could be and after watching the commercial for the third or fourth time in a day, found that suddenly I was feeling down for no apparent reason.
It was the commercials!!! Spoken in that calm voice, akin to a hypnotist. I had to start binding and rebuking that stuff as they said it.
The stats according to the news the other day...1 in 10 families in the US today suffer from some form of mental illness. Ain't that pathetic?
And the fact that the USSR is no longer with us testifies to the efficacy of that kind of mind control.
I wouldn't dismiss that so quickly, same thing different package. What once was the USSR may show itself to become the UN. Same thing but now on a broader scale.

I know nothing of the subject, so I can't say, but it sounds logical on the face of it.
