well ...i would like them look right old and pittyful,may get some blessings that way  
you know,my dog called kitty is 455 days old..must be one of the oldest pets,
stil has an apetite of a growing puppy though ...
will they do a trick when people play with them..some emotions?

There are 100 faces of varying degrees of happiness/health. Some are duplicates so that they may keep the same expression through several (4 or 5) stages. (Do you know how hard it is to come up with 100 different expressions of declining degree?  )
So to answer your question, when someone plays with your pet, you have a very good chance of a new facial expression....yes.
