I read 2 books that have changed/helped my outlook on things.Lance Armstrongs-It's not about the Bike. Sue Patton Thoele's Courage to be Yourself. Both have come to be reminders about things I'm facing with myself or friends.

For the Life of the World by Alexander Schmemann and Thirsting for God in a Land of Shallow Wells by Matthew Gallatin were the two that most changed my life. There are parts of FtLotW that I just can't read without weeping at how good, compassionate and loving God is.

Even as a male I enjoy watching Joyce Meyer. Is her books based to the female population or both? Everytime I see her conferences there all females in the audience. Love her style and love for the Lord.

It's not very original since it's selling so many copies, but Malcolm Gladwell's Blink is all about thinking and how we do it, etc. Definitely influential on how I, well, ...think. Cyberpunk writers like William Gibson, Jeff Noon, Philip K. Dick, and Neal Stephenson write thought-provoking works of fiction.
