The Library

I think we should start a online library of resources from teachings, to prayers of the Saints. We post on different threads alot great sites that we refer, so lets compile one thread with all that educational information.

This is a website I recommend for some Church Fathers and historical resources.

http://ccel.org/

Here is the section on the early Church Fathers;

http://ccel.org/fathers2/

The documents and writings also can be downloaded in pdf and other formats.

WONDERFUL IDEA!

A website with writings of more fathers, philosophers, and heretics. This page includes some of our Oriental non-Chalcedonian Orthodox fathers:

http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/

St. Jacob of Serug:

http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/ja...y_extracts.htm

St. Philoxenus of Mabbhug:

http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/ph..._1_preface.htm

St. Severus of Antioch, the great theologian:

http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/se...l_0_eintro.htm

John of Ephesus' history accounts:

http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/ephesus_0_preface.htm

Zacharias of Mytilene's history accounts:

http://www.tertullian.org/fathers/zachariah00.htm

The main page seems to have added so many new stuff that I haven't read, so it seems that this website updates with more translated ancient and valuable writings.

God bless.

Hi Mina, that is a great site. It has one of my favorite Saints, the name might be familiar.

http://www.tertullian.org/rpearse/sc...refutation.htm

Here is a quote from his writing.

"We, out of love for our friends and because of the mistaken views of our opponents, are obliged, within our bounds and with the help of God's grace, to undertake this study, confident that our readers will be open-minded and straight-thinking."

This link is to the book of lamentations or better known as Speaking with God from the Depths of the Heart, written by Saint Gregory of Narek. He is known as one of the greatest mystics in the Armenian Church.

This is a great Idea. I just wanted to add a suggestion. Could all these resources be put into a sticky thread at the top of the forum?

Peace
