i was excited to hear that his new album is produced by lillywhite, but i don't like his single "wordplay". to me, it seems like a re-hashing of his earlier success.

Reps: 424 (power: 0) | | | I agree; the live stuff is so much more..."mraz" sounding...what I expect when I am in the mood and pop in one of his cds. I go back and forth on 'wordplay' though. I didn't like it the first time, but now I love it. But I didn't start listening to him a lot until 'the remedy' came out, which i hated until i heard 'curbside prophet' which I fell in love with! So now I think i am becoming biased, lol, wanting to defend everything. even if I don't like it, just because I like most of his stuff so much.
The one thing about him though, I can expect to like new stuff that I hear...i love some of the meanings and, i guess you could call them jokes, that he keeps going in his music.
musicphan, I would give a good hunk of money to see him. couldn't afford a concert until the recent new job, and he hasn't since been in the area! jealous, I am.
I love geek in pink, plane, and esp. bella luna from the new cd. |
