If you do want to maintain that evolution is a religion, please take this opportunity to explain how it's religious despite the fact that it has no rituals and doesn't require any specific beliefs of its adherents. Then, having accomplished that, please explain why the helioentric model of the solar system isn't a religion using the same set of standards. |

That is funny, but in for the sake of fairness I have to rebut that. Creationists try to show that evolution is a religion, and thus illegal to teach in public schools. They're not saying that all religions are bad.
However, I do get annoyed when people claim evolution is a religion. Yes, it requires "belief", but not any more than "belief" that the earth revolves around the sun or that computers exist. If "belief" means acceptance, and "belief" is the only requirement for something to be a religion, than any philosophy, ideal, or even random thought is a religion.

I see. So if they can’t get their bunk science into public school they want the actual scientific ones taken out that conflict with their fragile belief system. I’m sorry, but either way it’s flat out wrong. I understand that it must be hard for them to see an accepted fact that conflicts with their worldview taught in public school but that doesn’t change the fact that the Theory of Evolution is a fact. Instead of railing against the ToE and exerting so much effort trying to get their theology taught as science they should take a little time to reevaluate their belief system. Just a thought.

More than just accepting suppositions on faith like all scientists do when they agree to the faith of Godless Atheism you take on faith that your prophet Darwin was correct when even he himself realized that there were lots of flaws in his new religion, like no fossils! He says this himself! I can't believe that after all of this time you atheists still cling to the idea that evolutionism isn't a religion. It is meant to deny God from a man who hated God himself. Did you know that Darwin was considering the seminary until he invented the theory of evolutionism? On his voyage the devil contacted him and told him that he was to help Lucifer destroy God's people through his evil teachings.
Evolutionism denies Adam & Eve and God's work, and is therefore a religion against God. You should repent, now, if you wish to be saved. This tract shows you all of the holes of evolutionism and how JESUS can be your saviour if you just accept him!
Did you know that JESUS holds atoms together? That's how great He is. If He didn't want to, he could let them all explode and then we wouldn't have computers to type on. This is why I love Jesus.

Oh, wrong thread. Well, yes, evolution is a religion because it's based on dogma. I mean, that was just a movie. Scientists hate freedom, and puppies. |
