Reps: 197 (power: 0) | | | Does God really disapprove of Magick? The bible generally deems the supernatural and magick as forbidden. However the high priests in Jerusalem practiced Kabbalah. Are "miracles" only meant to be performed when it is a direct reflection of God's will (instead of our own selfish intentions)? Have the current translations of the bible and doctrines of the church slanted the overall message to be "all magick is bad"? |

You hit upon a truth when you asked "Are "miracles" only meant to be performed when it is a direct reflection of God's will" -- the answer is an emphatic YES. The difference between "true" and "false" in the realm of supernatural manifestations is not whether they "really" happen, but whether or not they are from the hand of God. As Christians we are not our own; we are bought with a price -- therefore we are to glorify God with all that we do, by submitting everything unto Him.
bless you in Christ

Deuteronomy 18:10-11 (NIV) Let no one be found among you... who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or cast spells, or who is a medium or spiritist.

Also.. If you can prove that magic exists I know someone that will pay you 2 million dollars to do so. 2 million for some real magic.

That would be disturbing, like if they wrote an icon of St. Nicholas punching Arius in the first ecumenical council. Who wants to see Santa throw a punch? |

I'd say no, but he certianly disappoves spelling magic with a "k".

Sorry, what does "more real" mean? Is the degree of "reality" measurable? |
