A Message from A "Disabled" Individual

Okay. Faith healers. Listen up.

I have spina bifida myelomeningocele. This is a nervous disease; Google it if you want the specifics. The difference between typical cases and the case I have is that I can walk, and I have all of my mental functions. I still walk with a limp, and this has been somewhat annoying lately.

Recently, I have been accosted by faith healers who want to pray for me. I have NO problem if people want to pray for me, but do not tell me that my lack of faith is keeping me from being healed. There's such a thing as the Lord's will, and it may very well be the Lord's will to keep me in my "disabled" state.

Just, yeah. Pray for me, sure. But don't tell me that without a doubt the Lord will heal me if I have enough faith.

If lack of faith is a problem in healing it is more than likely to be lack of faith on the part of the one praying, not on the part of the one being prayed for.

Put without faith from both parties healing is much less likely. As Benny Hinn's TV program is called "This Is Your Day". Believe it is your day for healing, I am praying for you.

God will heal me some time within the next three days, but it will not be my faith that makes me well. It will be the Lord's GREAT mercy and His choice to glorify Himself in my restoration.

I had a friend who was blind in a both eyes. She told me that she knew God was going to heal her. She told me similar things you've shared...but also said that when I prayed for her, she actually saw light in her eyes. Not that I possess anything. IT IS NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER, BUT BY MY SPIRIT SAYS THE LORD!!

I think it is awesome you KNOW that it will happen. I think of what an impact it will cause and a testimony of GOD's MIGHTY HEALING POWER in your life!!!
