The receptor for parathyroid hormone, for example, is crucial for signaling and proper functioning of the parathyroid glands, intestinal cells and kidney cells. Parathyroid hormone and parathyroid hormone-related protein are vital to the normal functioning of the body. Disruptions in the regulation or amount of these substances can lead to serious ailments, including kidney stones, convulsions, decalcification of bones or "rubber bones," and can interfere with the normal growth of bones and cartilage. Common diseases that are caused in part by faulty signaling in cells include cancer, diabetes and disorders of the immune system.

Wrong article, np. That one is reporting real science. You need to point us to the article where some anti-evolutionist claims that this switching system is "irreducibly complex" (or some such), and therefore proves a creator.

Once that article gets written, Kenneth Miller or someone will go behind them and show a probable evolutionary pathway for said switch and the ID'er will take his article off-line. It won't matter at that point because the claim will be mirrored from his article on at least seven gazillion creationists web-sites (the administrator of absolutely zero of them having even a dim understanding of what the argument means), and we will continue to see links posted to variants of it on this forum forever.
