A list of Lies exposed by Nick

In another thread Nick (npetreley) brags:

No doubt he is having fun, but I am kind of confused about the exposing lies part. I think we have a good few threads where Nick's own misstatements have been "exposed," but I haven't noticed any lies that Nick has actually exposed himself. Unless he means "calling people liars" ("or stupid or both" to repeat what Nick denied doing a few weeks ago), then I can think of nothing that even comes under the same category as "exposing lies."

Perhaps Nick will give us a list of some of the lies that he exposed. Perhaps others who caught him exposing a doozy will chime in and make the list more complete. 

Is starting a thread to attack an individual in the spirit of Christian Forums?

You seem level headed Jerry...why are you going to this level?

  I'd imagine he's gotten sick of Nick, and is hoping that something blatant will make him realize how he looks.

   Nick's pattern is to make wild statements, then when asked to substantiate them, make another wild statement. When people ask him to back that one, he repeats the first, declares himself the winner, and does a little dance.

   Several times people have started specific threads in response to a claim Nick has made. Not once, to my knowledge, has Nick even acknowledge these threads exist, much less gave the required information.

   Do you consider making claims you refuse to substantiate, indeed, even defend, ethical or adult behavor?

NP posts regularly on this forum. From reading his many posts, it is obvious that he is interested in neither debate nor discussion.

Since he makes claims against science and denounces evolution regularly, I think it is appropriate to at least attempt to hold him to some level of accountability for his remarks. After all, this is a debate.

I fully expect to be held accountable for what I say on these forums. If I should make accusations, allegations about people and their ideas here, or if I make an assertion of fact here, I know that I will be called upon to show that what I say is true and reasonable. If I make a mistake, I know that I will be expected to correct it, so as not to mislead others by my mistake.

Knowing that you are going to be held accountable for what you say should make one stop and think before posting. Unfortunately, that is not usually the case with NP, or else he just doesn't care. I post these in hopes that one of them really will make him stop and reflect on the nature of a civil discussion or debate, and the nature of his own habits. If you will read a few of the threads here, I think you will see exactly what I mean. The "recipe for fudge" thread is a case in point.

It does irritate me a lot (it really gets my blood pressure up) that Nick will continually prove his lack of integrity and honesty by not responding to any call to account for his very blatant mis-statements (see the 16% thread), yet he hypocritically bills himself as someone who is here to "expose lies."

This is a good idea...too bad people on both sides don't follow this principle.

In fairness, people on both sides DO follow this principle. Just not all of them.

What amazes me is that Nick and people like him call theirselves Christians.  Yet they have got to be some of the slimiest individuals I've ever had the misfortune to encounter.  The amount of lies and deception used to attempt to prove their viewpoints is disgusting.

Little do they know that it's their mindless ascertions that's pushing us indecisive people more towards the evolutionary camp.  They have offered zero compelling evidence to persuade us to consider their "theories".

That's been Jerry's MO all along. Don't like something someone says? Start up a new thread rallying the troops to counter that person. He's started several just for me. This is probably the first one I've actually read, although there may have been another -- I forget.
