I would just like to know what reasons (if they do) your friends and cousins give for there suicides?

(If you would like to tell, else it is still a great testimony of course)

The most recent had to do with losing his will to live, his wife left him and he couldn't deal with it. Most of the others were similar situations, losing something that they thought they couldn't replace or live without, a few were drug addicted and knew they had to quit but found it easier to die than live without the drugs. I have found that to be a common problem in suicides, losing something or making a change in lifestyles.

Erg that's so sad ...

Do you know if they were Christians, or if some of them were not ... ?

(I have never heard of anyone who knows so many people that have committed suicide to tell the truth)

* Hope you don't mind me asking the difficult question ...*

My total number of suicides by either friend or family member is 22. I did grow up in a fairly, "rough" area where drugs and poverty and little help from the government or society helped them lose their will to live. I would go as far as to say 75% were Christian. Some of those didn't go to church much but were spiritual. I don't mind the questions at all.

That is something new to me, would you agree that they obviously then only knew about God, but not of the full life that he gives to His children ... ?

Sounds to me like there is a really big lack of the doctrine of hope in that area.

Maybe even some suicide strongholds for the devil, depends on how much you believe in spiritual warfare I guess ... (But I wont say it is because, or mostly even, due to a neglect of help from the government ... )

Testimony

What a testimony. I have a testimony too and it involves alcoholism and a powerful spiritual experience that put me in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Today I minister to alcoholics and drug addicts in a Christian half-way house called the Manna House (located in Brookshire, Texas). To me it is like heaven on earth. I am sure God will use you in a powerful way.

I agree. I too wish that christians and non-chrsitians could get along. But that's not how the world works. There'll be some people who don't agree. And satan attacks some of those people. I pray for my friends. I'll never stop. I hate satan. With God by my side, we will all eventually defeat him.

Anyway, a little off topic. Tim congrats. Welcome, my brother, to the family. I know that right now, God is looking down and seeing you and he sees that eveything is good. Your testimony was very inspiring. i am still trying to make a testimony.

I'm glad to be in this site, though. God has blessed me so much. It started this summer. my sister applied to Toronto City Missions to work there as a leader. She got the job. And then she asked me to volunteer.

I wasn't comfortable around christians because I had some of them judge me. Being 'hypocrites'. So, he told me to work at this camp this summer and I did. I've gotten closer to God and to christians. true Chrsitians. I even had my first spiritaul high! lol. Lasted a week and a half. It felt soo good.

To get to my point, I'm so grateful that I was blessed to be a part of God's family. I'm glad I googled this site and registered and read the posts that were posted. It's true that you can never stop learning. i've learned so much and I've gotten even more closer to God because of all your help.

Thank you to all you honest and true Christians. I'm happy to post something about God and not get bashed, but get support.

I think it doesn't matter what religion you are. Cahtolic, protestant, etc. If we all have a personal relationship with God, we are all Christians. Besides, isn't that was being christian is about. Christianity is not a religion, it's a relationship with our Creator, Our Father!

Thanks for listening. God bless! Good luck with the future Tim.

"Shout praises to the Lord! Praise God in his temple. Praise him in Heaven, his mighty fortress. Praise our God! His deds are wonderful, too marvelous to describe.
Praise God with trumpets and all kinds of harps. praise him with tambourines and dancing, with stringed instruments and woodwinds. Praise God with cymbals, with clashing cymbals. let every living creature praise the Lord. Shout praises to the Lord!" Psalm 150:1-6

Blessed be the Lord!
