Reps: 6,340 (power: 15) | | | How Cool? Shown in this image are electron microscopy images at increasing magnification of a representative structure created on a human hair. The strokes on the letters are more than 20 times smaller than the diameter of the hair.
"We built the structure on top of the hair with a material that is akin to plexiglass," said Fourkas. "One of the really exciting and unexpected things about this is that we found that we could make this structure on the hair without harming it in any way. This suggests that we could accomplish the same with other biological materials. One could imagine, for instance, building devices directly on skin, blood vessels, and eventually even a living cell. While this idea is currently in the realm of science fiction, our results represent an important step in that direction. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/05/050523092146.htm

In some respects, science has far surpassed religion in delivering awe. How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, "This is better than we thought! The universe is much bigger than out prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed"? Instead they say, "No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way." _-Carl Sagan |

Oh. Carry on.
When I first saw the picture, I thought it was a joke about ID, but then I read the article. Wow. |

Science does not deal in metaphysics. The existence or non-existence of God is a metaphysical question, and as such science neither attempts to prove or disprove God. |

Reps: 6,340 (power: 15) | | Hehe...God decided to outsource creation, but he didn't want anyone mixing up the parts, so he labeled all of them and had Leonardo da Vinci draw an assembly guide:

Disgraceful, you spend 10 millennia before the light-spanner just to get your Authorization to work on new worlds, and they don't even give you stinking med. |

Reps: 637 (power: 0) | | | Very cool. My reaction was similar to the one I had when I first saw the 'tunneling electron microscope' images of the letters IBM written in single atoms (Xenon, I think).
