Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | The Mean Teacher! Here is a joke I go this morning. Hopefully it will make you laugh.
One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom.
The teacher was going to explain evolution to the
children. The teacher asked a little boy:
TEACHER: Tommy do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see
the sky.
TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I
saw the sky.
TEACHER: Did you see God?
TOMMY: No.
TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he
isn't there. He doesn't exist.
A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some
questions. The teacher agreed and the little girl
asked the boy:
LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the tree outside?
TOMMY: Yes.
LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside?
TOMMY: Yessssss (getting tired of the questions by
this time).
LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?
TOMMY: Yessssss
LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher?
TOMMY: Yes
LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?
TOMMY: No
LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught
today in school, she must not have one!

Reps: 2,800 (power: 0) | | Question: What does evolution have to do with whether or not God exists?
(By the way, we can see brains with magnetic resonance imaging, among other things. Or, post-mortem, we can hold them in our hands and even slice them into sections.) |

Sorry, I just don't see the point of the "joke." Can you explain it? Maybe it will be funny then. |

Reps: 20 (power: 0) | | | Someone should correct that little girl. I mean, I've seen a brain before. We could stick the teacher under a MRI and show it to the little girl.
Even better, we could hook the little girl up, and let her watch her thoughts and emotions trigger little electrical storms in her brain.
Personally, it's something I've always wanted to do, see my brain work in real-time.
Of course, I'm not sure what a teacher is doing talking about God on public time. Must be a private school teacher. |

This is one of those "jokes" whose real intent is to mischaracterize non-believers and then make fun of them.
And if you take a moment to point that out, then you are a humorless person who can't take a little joke.
You see, I think that the parable of "Kissing Hank's *ss" is very funny. However, its purpose is to mock the absurdity of certain religious beliefs -- the humor is actually in the presentation and the dialogue. However, I would never post it in a Christian forum under the guise of humor simply because I know it would be offensive. |

Reps: 74 (power: 0) | | | Hey I found kissing hank's "bum" to be very hilarious, whether it insulted my religion or not. But yeah, I wouldn't put it in the church newsletter unless I was in the mood to be lynched from the church steeple.
