We are the adopted sons and daughters of the Jewish faith, God wants salvation for all his children, that's why Jesus came, to correct the Jewish practices and to bring the rest of us into the flock.
Another way to approach it - God does not break covenants, his children do. So, IMHO, the covenant with the Jewish people is still intact in the sense that God never left it. God has a plan for his people - ours was Christ. He is the new and everlasting covenant.
Am I rambling or do I make sense?
