peace of God

I recently heard an example of the differences between the peace that comes from God and the peace that comes from the world. Maybe you heard it before, but I would like to share.

The peace that comes from the world is feeling of peace when being in a boat in the middle of a calm ocean. We feel peaceful because nothing is happening. The peace that comes from God is a feeling of peace being in a boat in a middle of a raging storm. Despite whatever is going on around us, nothing can sway us nor uproot us because we have planted ourselves in the rock.
