| When you visit Wilmington go to the Battleship North Carolina. Its cool. you will like that. Another thing to do is to visit downtown Wilmington. Good places to eat there, neat shops and nice boardwalk and you can see the Battleship from there. I recommend that you visit the Cotton Exchange which has eclectic and unusual shops. Also visit Wrightsville Beach..very nice. And there's a nice aquarium at Fort Fisher. If you travel south on 17 from Wilmington there are some beautiful beaches: Oak Island, SouthPort (not a beach but a wonderful little town), Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach ...all in Brunswick County. If you go for about an hour and a half south on 17 you will get to Myrtle Beach SC...very touristy..but kinda fun. Nice beaches are north of Myrtle and there's good shopping to be done (Broadway at the Beach is great).
