Apparently not. Actually, one of my best friends is Thai (born in Bangkok), but he's not Christian.

Yes there are many Christians in Thailand although most are Buddhists and Muslims. Find out more about church services and care groups, in case you are coming for a visit.

Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | Yes there are many Christians in Thailand Thailand is my home away from home and when my wife and I get the opportunity to be in Thailand we have many Christian friends and family members in Bangkok, Chang Mai, Korat and know of new churches being begun in rural farming areas away from the normal missionary pathways which are being started by evangelical churches in Thailand.
In some places such as Bangkok the church is hard to find for the average traveler and even for some living there because it is limited in size in a massive city but it is there.
The primary evangelical church in Bangkok is Chinese/Thai and is over 100 years old. It is difficult to find but not impossible.
The church in Chang Mai is quite prevalent and easy to find, there are several. We have several close friends who attend and participate in worship services of several churches there.
In Korat there are two churches we attend and both are evangelical in nature, one is pastored by the husband of a close relative and is a plant of the evangelical church of Korea, the other is close to the university campus and not difficult to find at all. |
