Reps: 235 (power: 0) | | Not everyone who takes the flood account literally believes in a global flood. Some will posit that the flood was local and that interpretation is consistent with the Biblical description. Proponents of this view would say koala bears were not on the ark. Just some localized animals. |

"And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark."
This account seems pretty clear, "every living substance" is a very broad description. One must ask, what about all the plants as well as indigenous animal species around the world. |

In the whole account, it specifies that the death was every living thing that had breath in it's nostrils. Creationists make a big deal about this, as it is a looophole for plants, insects and anything else without a nostril. Personally, i think that as a rationalization, it blows.
Blows? Nostril? Never mind, it was funnier in my head.

Reps: 10 (power: 0) | | | Well... one must ask how the plants, salt-water fish, and coral were able to survive? |

Where'd that come from?
Surly you're not implying what you seem to be implying?
And no, even in that case. Why kill everyone for the "sins" of a few? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
