God's ever-loving hand

This is a poem I wrote... I know it's nothing special but it just describes God's love!

~*God's ever-loving hand*~
Outside the rain pours down in sheets
Flattening the grass and dulling the sky
But inside my heart is cosy and warm
And God's loving hand keeps me safe and dry

Sometimes I misplace my unsteady foot
Or slip on a slimy stone
But I look for God's ever-loving hand
And it's there to remind me I'm not on my own

I'm vunerable in my restless sleep
Unsettling images flit through my brain
But God's loving hand gently strokes my hair
And chase away my fears 'til I'm content again

When I feel like I'm on top of the world
When I'm full of joy and delight
God's loving hand just lifts me higher
And draws me closer until he's in sight

When I feel alone and I'm fearful and sad
When my faith is suffering and I'm in despair
I once again look for God's ever-loving hand
And even though I can't see it,
And even though sometimes I don't look for it when I should
And even though I don't deserve it
It's there.
And it always will be.
