Almighty Father,
We humbly beseech thee to consider your servant Terri. She lays on her death-bed, and has become the center of controversy. When mankind should rather think of her, they squabble over her right to live, or her right to die.
No man knows your will, nor can we scrape the surface of the depth of your wisdom. Yet do we petition you to shine your face on young Terri.
If she is meant to live, Father, please raise her from her affliction in the sight of mankind, while she has their attention, for the glory of the heavenly Father, and breathe life back into her body.
If she is meant to depart this world, Father, consider her soul and offer her another chance for your merciful salvation, and bring her home to the fold for all time.
Please do so with haste so that your glory is made manifest in the face of mankind, and for Terri, we petition that your will is executed quickly, to save her mortal body and her eternal spirit.
Nevertheless, your will be done Father, and not ours, for your sake. In the name of your son Jesus, the Christ...
