Well, an athiest calling someone stupid... that's definitely a sign... too bad it's a sign that happens with just about every athiest.
Are you saying that you believe miracles manifest themselves in food products?
Or are you saying that it is "intelligent" to hold such a belief?

I am not saying either. I am saying that it's a completely harmless thing for people to think that. It's not hurting anyone, so what's the point of calling them stupid?
While I would not believe such a thing, there are a lot of people out there who have a psychological need to see signs. Generally, people with anxiety disorders (specifically OCD) find it hard to convince themselves of things unless they can find signs in things.
And I am getting tired of the whole athiest "I'm smarter than you" attitude. I am not saying you express that, but I have only met one athiest who doesn't think they know everything. I acted like that too when I was an athiest. Calling people stupid just because they don't see things a certain way is mean and rude.

Well, a Christian calling someone stupid because they don't agree with him. Definatly a surprise. Too bad it's lost its shock value because it's a characteristic of every Christian.

See? I can play the generalization game too.
Definitely

Have you seen the Jesus potato & potato chip, and the Jesus & Mary cheesie on eBay? I can't link to them, but check them out, and give opinions. Do you really think these are signs? What about the fact that they are coming up more & more often?
I'm not even going to look. [bible]Mark 13:21[/bible]
Come on, how do we even know what Christ or Mary looked like? At all? We don't know if Mary was homely, buck toothed, knock kneed, or if Christ had a beard, a tan, etc. One thing we do know is that He was not physically attractive (Isaiah 53:2). Lord give me patience.

Where did I call anyone stupid? I didn't. I said it was rude. I don't call anyone stupid because intelligence is relative. No one is stupid, people just think differently.
Generalization game? You were already playing that when you called people stupid for believing they see signs in food. Everyone's minds work differently. You played it first, I just upped the ante.

Well see, that's ridiculous right there. People can be stupid. There are intellegence in people. Lacking in intellegence means one is stupid. Otherwise, the word would have not purpose and existance. Believing that seeing the society created image of Jesus in your breakfast is a sign that god is real is oblivious to the fact that logic would tell you that it's just a random texture pattern on it, perhaps an even lack of intellegence to see that fact. Hense, stupid. Opinon or fact, I'm not apologizing for what I said.

Apart from the attitude, I tend to agree with you.
