Satanism

I know most of you will have assumptions about what you believe satanism to be. Firstly i would like to know your views on the subject and if any of you have maybe read any of Anton Lavey's work.

This has been discussed at length in other threads. By now, pretty much everybody here knows about Satanism (including, for example, the difference between Traditional and LaVeyan Satanism). If nothing else, the point has been made that Satanists aren't evil baby-eaters.

The most recent thread on Satanism was deleted and I'm not sure why other than that the arguments may have become heated. There are people here who would probably like to continue the discussion.

All LaVeyan Satanists I have met thus far practice selfishness as their religion and are arrogant, self-absorbed jerks. Their religion would better be described as Egoism or Selfishness.

I don't know why any theistic "Satanist" would willingly label her/himself as a Satanist. When most of them explain their beliefs, they don't believe in a Biblical Satan at all, really.

IMO no one should call her/himself a "Satanist" unless they knowingly worship the Christian incarnation of evil.
