Yes, I am a Christian.
I became one after I repented (changed my mind) about how to be saved. Before, I had thought one was saved by many good works. Then I learned the Bible says that salvation is a free gift, given to anyone who trusts in Christ alone as their sinbearer and trusts in Him alone to get them to Heaven one day. I made that decision and instantly became a Christian. (John 3:16, Acts 16:31)
In a couple of years, I began serving Him, accepting Him as my Lord (though service had nothing to do with getting me to Heaven.) Ephesians 2:8-9 No matter how I acted, I knew I would not lose my eternal life (Romans 6:23 with Romans 11:29 and John 10:28-29). Though I knew God would punish me when I did wrong, just as a good father does.
There - enuf of the doctrine. I love to talk to seekers about trusting Christ as their sinbearer. That's when real life begins. If you have questions, i'd love to hear from you.

I would say I always claimed to be a Christian, but it wasn't untill I was about 18/19 that I relised what Christianity really meant, and gave my life to Him.
