Yep, I love rock climbing. I am certified. I just recently found how much fun it is. I am starting to buy my own gear and everything. We have a local climbing gym which is a lot of fun. I try to go about once a week.

I've done a little climbing with a rope and have done some fun bouldering.

I've free climbed much higher than I should have, but I'm still here so I guess it was OK.

When I was working on a Yosemite trail crew in 1987, we all signed up for a basic ropes class with the Yosemite Mountaineering Institute in Tuolumne Meadows. We did some climbing on Pothole Dome and Lembert Dome. It was a blast, but I really haven't done any climbing since.

When I was in high school they had a gym class where we did an entire unit on a ropes course...my high school had two rock climbing walls...and indoor and outdoor one (not real rock though). We also had other things like a vertical playscape, pirate's crossing, etc. It was fun...I would love to go climbing out on real rock sometime...

I've rock climbed indoors as well as on a mountain with ropes. I was taught the basics and it's great. I'm into the whole extreme sports thing so I'd like to go more often. Cliff jumping is great too.. it's all about the adrenaline rush

I grew up climbing all over rocks at the beach, and I love it. I'm not official, I've never even done anything with ropes or real cliffs, but I love climbing around on rock piles at the beach. It's one of my favorite things to do, even though I'm afraid of hights.

Go for it. It is challenging, but sooooo cool when you get to the top and actually realize that you've climbed this great big mound of rock that big truck drillers easily get through.

But totally changing the direction (no pun intended), I've only ever climbed a big rock once. Never done even the practice ones. But I just loooove absailing!
