Mithado looked out the window at the army below. "Why did it turn out this way?" he thought to himself. "I cannot face an army of that bulk. and I don't even know what i'm doing here in the first place." A young squirrel walked up to him and said, "Why are they here? From where have they come?" Mithado turned to look at him, and replied, "They are here because the master wants them to here. they are here to come and conquer redwall and the fortress of salamandastron." "Who is the master?" Asked the squirrel. Mithado looked away out the window. "The Master is the lord of swiftclaw and countless other lizards. he is the one who united the lizard hords and controlls them." said Mithado. the squirrel looked at him intently and asked, "How do you know this?" Mithado looked back at him and said, "My tribe was at war with him, until Swiftclaw came and slaughtered us. That is why I have come. To help defeat this menace."
Swiftclaw looked at the general and spoke, "Agreed. My troops will lay siege to redwall from the roof. you may attack from the ground. We will discuss who gets which fortress later." He began to leave but turned around and spoke, "I'll keep my sword, you can keep yours." he turned and went toward the abbey. "The master will be pleased."
