Sounds like He really dropped the ball on that one... Jesus Christ is is the WAY by which man can overcome ALL the sinfullness of man in the past for ALL his disobedience toward God
Otherwise we get condemned for our ancestors' misdeeds. |

If you are concerned that missing out on the blessings of God is condemnation then perhaps you may have concern for your own descendants (See Leviticus ch 26)

Not particularly; I don't see myself as likely to turn cannibal.
And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. -- Leviticus 26:27-29 |

Also, nobody would put in papers "Local man's cancer luckily dissappears." headlines are more fitted for "Local man prays for 4 years on end, and cancer rescinds". im sure there are lots of people who simply dont do anything, and luckily, their cancer subsided. |

Then why are so many of the Biblical literalists convinced that death is bad? Including you. You have posted in other threads and other boards (TheConsecrated) that evolution is bad because it means death was in the world. But if death is what happens to everybody and is not final, then why would death be bad?
The Garden of Eden story, Ikester, paints death as "bad" because of the spiritual death that did make death so final. You seem to be buying into the very atheistic philosophy you condemn.
LOL, good one. Twist what I say around. Nice try, but I've grown out of debating what someone refuses to understand, or implies what they want something to say to start one.
And as for JohnR7, If he did say that, it's judgemental, and there's only one supreme judge and were not it. |

I think baldness is related to having a haughty spirit or arrogance. |

However you slice it or dice it, cancer is symbolic of sin. Just as cancer eats away at the body, so sin destroys people.
I think that it is interesting that you seem to believe that there are people who are not sinners. I would like to hear more about this theory of yours. I know very few people who believe it is possible to live a life free from sin.
Most people who believe you can live a sin free life have a lot of faith. |
