Gray hair

How do you let your gray hair grow out gracefully? I know - just let it grow! But I have a job that requires a professional appearance and I don't want hair that is half blonde and half gray. Any suggestions?

Unfortunatly, I am not ready for that 'graceful' acceptance of my gray hair yet. I started to gray when I was 17, I am now 40, and without coloring my hair (my stylist does a fab. job) I would be 50-60% gray . Also, my grays are wirey! So my natural hair color would be a dull dark brown and wirey gray if I was graceful enough to accept that! Perhaps when I am 70 or 75, if I am lucky enough to still have hair I have clients who are that age and still look great and they color their hair, and I have younger clients have not colored their hair, and have grown in grays and LOOK Fabulous!

I am 25, and I have a grey streak right up front for everyone to see! I guess my suggestion would be to go for light higlights instead of coloring, and then have your stylist start fazing the highlights out slowly, until all you have left is natural! Good luck.

What I did to grow out my colour was put in a colour closest to my own so it wasn't noticable growing out. I don't have a lot of grey, but I've got enough!
