'Star Trek: Enterprise' Cancelled by UPN

Okay, as far as the T'Pol thing goes, I have a question. T'Pol is a Vulcan, right? Besides the normal Vulcan stuff (like Pon Farr), I thought that they tried their hardest to show no emotion whatsoever. If that's true, then why in the world does T'Pol show so much darn emotion?!?! I mean, one minute she's completely emotionless, and the next she's slathering biofiltering (or whatever) gel on Trip's back (almost naked, I might add).

I asked one of the guys from church (who is a self-proclaimed Trekker- not a Trekkie like me) this same question and he gave me some excuse that I didn't really buy. I'll tell you what he said after you guys give me your theories. Thanks!

In some of the early episodes of STE, it was revealed that T'Pol had been an agent for Vulcan in her previous life and during that time had killed someone which caused her to suffer a breakdown. She was subjected to an improperly done mind-meld which led to some emotional instability. Further on she was "date-raped" by a renegade Vulcan, causing more instability and then was exposed to trillium (trillium d?), opening an emotional dam. She became addicted to the trillium and had to undergo therapy administered by Phlox to overcome the addiction. I think the series' writers have probably made her more vulnerable to human emotion since she is the first Vulcan to become close to humans and rather would like to experience what being human is all about (like Data on NG). Anyway, that's my analysis of this issue for what its worth (nada)

I just watched an episode of Enterprise I recorded and I remember the *real* reason the show never took off...the theme song sucks!!! I was petrified the first time I heard it and I cringe if it ever gets in my head. Eeewwww! Either do an "instrumental" like with DS9 or do a variation on the old "Space, the Final Frontier" bit. I normally just mute the theme out, but sometimes I'm slow and those few notes sink in. *groan*

I love that theme song!!! You young whippersnappers!!! My daughter thinks the theme song isn't befitting of the program either, but it gives me goosebumps and makes me want to fly away in my starship I'm deeply wounded!!! I particularly enjoy seeing the footage of the astronauts that I well remember from my youth.
