Peace be with you.

Just an update.

Amen. "Thus abundantly hath the Church of England vindicated her reformation from all pretence of apostasy from the true, ancient Catholic and Apostolic Church...No new Church was set up; no new articles of faith brought in; no new Sacraments; no new order of Priesthood to minister in holy things... only the old were purged from impurities in doctrine, worship and practice. If we were the Catholic Church before, we are still so, and to better purpose." William Cave, The Unity of the Catholic Church maintained in the Church of England |

I would assume so. I am the one who is to read the Epistle, as well as other duties at the altar like thurifer, light candles, and so on.

A 'reader' in the Church of England is one whose main duty is preaching, though they also teach courses and lead services.

This leads me to think that a call to vocation is something persistent, but in my case I already see the needs being fulfilled and I am confused and often frightened about what exactly it is I am being called to do. This is probably the discernment part .. right?
Everytime it happens, and it happens regularly, I always end up launching into work and then the feeling just crops up again and it has become a regular cycle. |

it is often persistent, but sometimes sudden; often gentle, and other times rather violent. that's what I've gathered from others, anyway. it isn't exactly the same with everyone, but there are threads of similarity.
it's an inner calling from God, and it's an outer calling from the Church.
keep praying, listening, talking, and testing it out
